    FALL COTERIE 2017!!

    I leave this weekend for FALL COTERIE 2017!!  Super excited to get back to the BIG APPLE and all that awesome energy that it exudes.  Fall is my favorite fashion season so I get extra pumped to see the lines.  Herno, Tibi, Rebecca Taylor and Robert Rodriguez are sure to top on my list!!  I expect to see lots of menswear, military, embellishments and floral prints, with a couple of cold shoulders and elbows popped into the mix. 
    My sis and I are definitely going to hit all of our favorites along the way to keep us nourished and sane!!  BG Restaurant is always a stop, between the amazing Kelly Wearstler interiors and the NYC ladies who lunch, it is always delicious and entertaining.  Then we will meander through Bergdorf Goodman, which is without a doubt the greatest store in the world!!  It is one of my happy places.  Then we hit The Spotted pig for gnudi and burgers, La Esquina for insane Mexican, Sarabeth's for lemon ricotta pancakes and Cipriani downtown for some bellinis!  We will pepper in trips to Barneys for makeup, Chanel in Soho because it is the BEST, and Sak's for shoe heaven!!

    West Coast is the BEST COAST!!

    I always look forward to my trip to LA for Summer market.  It gives me something to look forward to in the middle of these terrible Chicago winters.  As soon as I step off of that plane and see the sun and palm trees I immediately feel energized and get super excited for the Spring season.  Our first stop is always The Ivy on Robertson for some onion rings and chopped salad, next we pop in to my all time favorite Chanel (conveniently located right next door)!!  Then we will most likely hit Barneys, Chanel on Rodeo, Violet Grey for makeup and Saks (the Beverly Hills Saks is the best Saks)!! 
    The next day work begins.  We will head downtown to the fashion district and see what the designers have in store for us.  I am excited to see how the spring trends move into summer.  I am sure we'll see lots of floral prints, ruffles, updated oxford styles and an abundance of neutral hues.  We will take pics and keep you updated on Instagram so be sure to follow us at shopfuschia. 
    After long hours of work we have to keep ourselves well nourished.  Our favorite spots are Bottega Louie for lunch, E. Baldi and Mr.Chow for dinner.  By the time we return on Thursday we will be well feed, refreshed with all the best new makeup and ready to conquer Spring!!  Fuschia will have a quick Spring makeover and by Monday January 23rd Fuschia will be in FULL SPRING MODE!!  Get ready girls....the goods are beyond GOOD!!

    Spring Training!!

    January is the month to prepare for the upcoming fashion season and to get inspired for the year to come.  My mantra right now is from a quote I saw on Instagram "kinda classy, kinda hood".  It seems to be reflective in my fashion choices as well.  From my new Chanel necklace that I am obsessed with, to my Adidas high tops, to the Minnie Rose cashmere hoodie I live in, to the Pam and Gela sweatshirt I adore.  They all seem to be fitting into this mantra.  I am also loving the influence that Gucci is having in fashion right now.  All the athletic inspired clothes that have been taken up a notch with embellishments.  It is all just perfectly FUN!!

    So now, in the doldrums of winter, GET INSPIRED FOR SPRING!!  Get some Dr. Dennis Gross pads to get a little glow in that skin, lather your dry elbows with By Terry's new body lotion, and pop into Fuschia.  We will style you in a killer look that will bounce you right through January.

    HOLIDAY PERFECTION!

    As the Holidays approach you need to update your wardrobe with some fun pieces.  We love this Tibi feather top and the Amanda Uprichard satin jacket.  Both pieces can be worn together or alone.  Plus, we love how versatile they are, they are easily dressed up or down, so you can really get your use out of them.  Bang for your buck, we like it!
