The motivation behind Fuschia was nothing more than a true obsession with fashion and a lack of availability. When owner Ashlee Rooney moved from Chicago to the burbs she was horrified to find a total lack of “city like boutiques”. So she took her years of shopping expertise and her business background and started Fuschia in downtown Glen Ellyn. The store opened in March of 2004 and has been providing discerning fashionistas with a direct pipeline to all the latest designs from LA to NYC ever since.

Ashlee strives to fill Fuschia with a dynamic selection of ageless classics, everyday pieces and hard to find jewels and accessories to compliment her clients wardrobes and lifestyles. It is one stop shopping, and has everything a girl could need, from soccer mom chic to cocktail attire. She always brings in the most desirable mix of the season’s latest finds from designers like Tracy Reese, Rebecca Taylor and Milly, just to name a few. In 2006 Fuschia added an in store shoe boutique, Shoeschia, and an apothecary section. Both have added to the fabulous mix that makes Fuschia a fashion diva’s dream come true.

Ashlee’s expert eye and sense of style are now part of what her loyal clients have come to expect as part of their personal shopping experiences. Daily deliveries of new merchandise keep many on their fashion toes and make shopping at Fuschia anything but boring!!!

Shopfuschia.com was opened in 2007. Ashlee and the girls at Fuschia’s goal for the site is to bring their complete love of fashion and fun to many who are unable to visit them in Glen Ellyn. So girls, get shopping and enjoy!!!! There is nothing better than a little retail therapy and you know you deserve it.

In August 2011 the Fuschia Girls are embarking on yet another fashion adventure. They are opening a second boutique in Geneva, IL. The girls are super psyched to bring their love of fashion a little further west. Watch out Geneva...Fuschia is about to rock your world!
